Live graph
How the lab notebook works
- Set your conditions and press Run.
- When the result has settled, press Record trial (or T). One row is added with the seed, the time, every condition and every measurement.
- Change one condition and repeat. Delete a bad row with ×.
- Below the table, choose what to Plot (your result) against (the condition you changed). Each row becomes a dot.
- Copy CSV to paste the table into Google Sheets or Excel.
- Check the seed column. If the model uses chance, rows with the same conditions and the same seed are the same trial recorded twice, not two trials. Press New next to the seed before each repeat.
Plan an experiment and the lab runs every trial for you. Change one thing, measure one result and keep everything else the same.
Your prediction optional
What will you change? independent variable
What will you measure? dependent variable
What stays the same? controlled variables
These keep their current values for every trial. To change one, set it in Conditions first.
Repeats and run length
Repeats use different random seeds. Use 3 or more when chance is involved.

What is on this tab?
- Time-series CSV: every value the live graph recorded during the current run, for your own graphs.
- Run configuration: the model, seed and every condition. Paste one in and press Apply to repeat a run exactly, for example one a classmate sent you.
- Methods paragraph: a draft description of how the simulation was done, with references. Edit it into your own words for a report.

Run configuration
Everything needed to reproduce this run exactly. Paste a configuration and apply it to restore a run.
Methods paragraph
A draft you can adapt for a write-up. It updates with the current conditions.
