ResearchUnboxed is a planned student-led school club at Dubai International Academy, Dubai, UAE. We want to make research approachable: asking questions, thinking carefully and learning together.
01 / Our culture
Many disciplines.
A shared curiosity.
Scientific and non-scientific inquiry belong here. Explore a dataset, interpret a text, investigate a social question or combine approaches. You do not need to have read a research paper before joining.
Planned activities include paper discussions, question development, methods, data analysis, academic writing, social-impact essays, consulting cases, project feedback, guest sessions and an annual symposium.
For grades 8–12, with beginners welcome. The focus is learning together, not building a list of awards. You can enjoy the club without aiming for a competition or publication.

Cite sources, keep an honest research record and acknowledge uncertainty. Obtain faculty guidance before human-participant or laboratory work. Protect identities and secure permission before publishing student images or work.
These are club operating principles, not a claim of a formal research ethics board. Discuss scope and safety before collecting data.
Supporting your learning
Practise research and writing skills that can support your learning, including the skills used in the Extended Essay and Internal Assessments. Your school teachers remain responsible for assessment guidance.
